Location is "everything" at this "lovely" nonsmoking hotel "in the heart of Seattle", "a few blocks from Pike Place Market, Westlake Center and Pacific Place", and where many of the rooms offer "spectacular" views of the city or Elliott Bay; satisfied surveyors ignore a few glitches – no pool, "not enough hot water" – and insist that with "nicely appointed" accommodations, "free WiFi", a "good workout room" and an "English pub in the basement", this place is "perfect for a weekend getaway."

Loved the Red Lion on Fifth. Great location and comfortable, upscale hotel with friendly service. Elephant & Castle Pub downstairs is fun and convenient; the hotel also has its own restaurant, which serves a full breakfast buffet. I received a 20% meal coupon for the restaurant, a nice bonus.
